About Us

Using our in-house anechoic chamber and specialist electro-acoustic equipment allows us to produce independent test reports for the following kinds of loudspeaker:

  • PA/VA loudspeakers (100V/70V line).
  • Low impedance loudspeakers (hifi, music, etc…).
  • Sounders (tone generators).
With the use of Maximum Length Sequence System Analysis software (MLSSA), AMS are able to collect accurate data covering an extensive range of parameters which are used to define the acoustic performance of a loudspeaker. The following measurement parameters are listed in a typical AMS Acoustics loudspeaker report:
  • Effective impedance (including phase).
  • Frequency response (on-axis).
  • Sensitivity.
  • Directivity and polar response.
  • Maximum SPL.
  • Acoustic power.
All the measurement parameters are presented in a concise report along with source data files in the following formats; Common Loudspeaker Format (CLF), EASE 4.1, and CATT Acoustics (SD1).

Our loudspeaker reports allow our clients to present accurate, impartial and independently tested product information. To help ensure that the most is gained from our services, AMS provide resources to aid the interpretation of the measurement data.

Our loudspeaker measurements have been used to design communication systems for many of the country’s most prestigious public buildings. The most recent of which include; Heathrow’s Terminal 5, St Pancras International Station, Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, The Mersey Tunnel, Royal Courts of Justice, and Ministry of Defence establishments.
